Tear sat in the den, organizing her herbs and stocking up in cobwebs. She sat silently, staring blankly at the entrance, waiting for something to do. I feel so... pointless, she thought, what am I here to do? She had often wondered this, but she could never find the answer. She always thought that all cats thought about this. Her mind wandered to distant times, when her mother would lovingly play with her as a kit. Then she drifted farther, when she was being taught how to hunt and fight, then to the times when she learned to treat and heal wounds and illnesses. She was happy to be wrapped up in these memories, away from the worries of everyday life, and smiled unconciously.

Darcie padded in. "Hello Tear." She sat down. "I believe I have a thorn in my pad." She meowed.

Tsolrevlis followed Darcie. Oh... how will I say this? She murmured in her head. "Hello... um, Tear," She mewed, remembering the cat's name.

Darcie nodded. "This is Tsolrevils." She meowed.

Tear smiled when she saw Tsolrevis. She had always remembered faces and names well, but of course she had to because she was a medicine cat. "Hello! I remember you. Tsolrevis, right? And you wanted to be a medicine cat?" She leaned over to gently tug at the thorn in Darcie's footpaw. It was difficult to pull out because it had dug itself into her paw, but she managed to pull it hopefully without breaking it into splinters, which could induce an infection. She could never be too sure, though, so she climbed over to her herb shelf and picked up some gumweed. "This may sting a little bit, but I'm not sure if there are any splinters left so I need to keep it away from infection," she told Darcie as she chewed the weed into a poultice and applied a small bit to the scratch. Then Tear grabbed some cobweb and pressed it to her paw so that the juice could stay in place.

Darcie winced a little at the pain. Once the cobweb was applied, it felt much better. "Thank you Tear." She meowed. "It feels much better." She turned to Tsolrevils. "So, does this seem to be what you want to do?" She asked.

Darcie looked up at the celing. She had really changed since she was a kit.

Tear looked from Darcie, who was still staring at the cieling, to Tsolrevis and decided she should say something. "As I said before, I'm fine with you starting whenever you would like to. Darcie... um, this means we would need to introduce Tsolrevis to everyone else, right?" As she finished meowing she turned back to Darcie.
((lots of turning...))

Darcie looked at Tear. "Um, yes." She meowed, a little out of it.

"I'll be ready to start now, if you'd like," Tsolrevlis offered.

Darcie shook herself. "Alright. Tear, you can stay here and I can show him around." She meowed.

"I'm coming..." Tsolrevlis leaped over to Darcie in one kinda long jump.
