Livana padded to the camp that was still in progress, but it felt more like home. Well, until a shock of pain shot through her spine.
She had no real home to recall.
The black she-cat put down the prey, made a hole in the middle of the camp, and dropped it in there.
I wonder if this was what it was like when those four Clans became... well... Clans.
"Hi, Livana!" Gold mewed as she padded up to the musing she-cat, "What were you doing?"
"I was hunting with Heatlegs in the rain-forest."
A mischievous grin flashed across Gold's golden furred face, and her silver eyes glittered.
"Were you... getting all romantic?"
"In the name of MoonClan, no!" Livana spat, "Why would we ever do that?!"
"Gold, knock it off. Don't you still have work to do?" Silver, Gold's sister, inquired.
"Yeah, yeah, but I'm tired! Working's hard!"
"Get used to it. When you're a warrior, you'll have much more to worry about," The silver furred she-cat grumbled, her golden eyes carrying a scowl.
"C'mon! Surely you get tired, too, right? I mean, you're not dead!"
"Dead people get tired too, Gold. That's why they're dead," Silver mewed, "And yeah, I get tired, but I don't complain. That's why I'm a Shaman novice."
Livana stared at Silver, surprised at how serious and warrior like the novice was. Silver only acknowledged her with a glance before padding away.
"I'm going to work later. Right now I'm seriously asleep on my paws," Gold mewed, "What're you going to do?"
Livana laid her head on her paws outstretched in front of her.
"I'm kinda with you," She mewed with a yawn, "We don't want any cat getting sick while we're trying to figure out how to live here."
"Good point," Gold replied as she stood up to grab a squirrel that Livana caught, "That would be bad."
The golden novice paused for a second and asked, "What do you think of the camp? I did a lot of it."
Livana looked around.
"I like that camp. And you say you did a lot of it?"
"Yep! I dug Nightstorm's den," Gold mewed in between bites, "The medi- Shaman's and Shaman Novice's den is in that cave over there, see? Then the two other caves near the Shaman's den is the Warriors' den, followed by the Novices' den. Me and the other warriors and Moonpaw are still working on the Nursery, the Elders den, and the Next in Line's den."
Livana listened closely to the novice, nodding when she felt she should.
"I can help with the nusery," She mewed, "But later."
Gold smiled.
"Thought so."
Livana smirked and mewed, "Yeah. So, what den are you going to work on?"
"Me? Well, personally, whatever den Heatlegs' will do, if he does one. And if he doesn't, then I'll do whatever you'll do!"
The black warrior smiled at Gold's bouncy personality. She seemed to be happy almost all of the time.
"We'll see."
Her grumbling belly reminded Livana that she hadn't eaten since at least two days ago, but she ignored it, determined to not eat. The Clan probably needed it more than she did, anyways. She looked up, looking for another cat to talk to while she was resting for a bit. She realized that Gold had left to do something else, and was left alone.
